The Wine
The 2017 Warre’s Vintage Port is a bold and elegant expression from one of Portugal’s most historic Port houses. From a vintage marked by exceptional concentration and purity, this Port is rich in character yet defined by its balance, freshness, and age-worthy structure.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense aromas of blackberry, black plum, violet, and dark chocolate.
Palate: Full-bodied and velvety, offering layers of dark berry fruits, cassis, liquorice and ripe tannins.
Finish: Long and harmonious, with lingering flavours of black fruit and cocoa.

Founded in 1670, Warre’s is the oldest British Port house and a cornerstone of the Douro’s viticultural history. Renowned for producing Ports with refinement and longevity, Warre’s continues to honour traditional methods.

Vinification: Traditional foot treading in granite lagares; aged 18–24 months in seasoned oak barrels before bottling
Alcohol Content: ~20% ABV
Cellaring: Best from 2030, with optimal maturity between 2040 and 2070+
