The Wine

The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino from Talenti is a refined and beautifully balanced expression of Sangiovese from a classic Tuscan vintage. With vineyards spread across some of the finest sites in Montalcino, Talenti combines tradition with precision, producing a Brunello of depth, elegance, and structure. The 2019 vintage, marked by balance and purity, is destined to be remembered as one of the region’s greats.


Tasting Notes

Nose: Complex and perfumed, with aromas of cherry, blackberry, leather, and herbs.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied, delivering lots of red and black fruit, fine-grained tannins, and lively acidity. Subtle notes of tobacco, spice, and earthy minerality add depth.

Finish: Long and graceful, combining ripe fruit and savoury notes with a lifted freshness that promises excellent longevity.


Producer Details

Founded in 1981 by Pierluigi Talenti and now run by his grandson Riccardo, Talenti has become one of Montalcino’s benchmark producers. The estate manages a mosaic of vineyards across different altitudes and soils, giving their wines balance, finesse, and authenticity. The Brunello is the flagship, consistently praised for its classic style and aging capacity.


Wine Details

Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel; aged in large Slavonian oak casks and French tonneaux for 30+ months, followed by extended bottle aging before release
Alcohol Content: ~14.5% ABV
Cellaring: Best enjoyed from 2025, with peak maturity through 2045 and beyond
