The Wine

The 2015 Seña is a powerful expression of Chile’s Aconcagua Valley, showcasing the seamless integration of Old World structure and New World fruit. Founded by Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi in 1995, Seña was envisioned as Chile’s First Growth—a wine that could rival the best in the world.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Complex and layered, with vibrant aromas of cassis, blackberry, plum, with notes of cedar, graphite, and sweet spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and velvety, delivering a dense core of black fruit, dark chocolate and dried herbs, supported by fine tannins and bright acidity.

Finish: Long, savoury, and structured, leaving lasting impressions of cigar box, and spice, confirming its pedigree and cellar worthiness.

Seña is the flagship wine of Chile, born from a visionary partnership between Eduardo Chadwick and the late Robert Mondavi. The biodynamically farmed hillside vineyard in the Aconcagua Valley yields fruit of remarkable concentration and character.

Vinification: Traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks; aged 22 months in French oak barrels (75% new)

Alcohol Content: ~14% ABV

Cellaring: Approachable now with decanting; will evolve gracefully through 2040
