The Wine
The 2021 Domaine Jean Chauvenet Les Vaucrains is a refined and terroir-driven expression from one of Nuits-Saint-Georges’ most powerful Premier Cru sites. Perched on the upper slope with poor, rocky soils, Les Vaucrains is known for yielding structured, age-worthy wines with dark fruit character and intensity.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh aromas of wild cherry, raspberry, crushed rose petals, and subtle hints of spice and forest floor.
Palate: Medium-bodied and tightly focused, with red berry fruit, fine tannins, and vibrant acidity. Earthy and savoury notes of herbs and tea leaf add complexity and depth.
Finish: Long and linear, with and elegant persistence, promising graceful evolution in the cellar.
