The Wine

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle from Domaine Henri Rebourseau is a refined expression of one of Burgundy’s most historic terroirs. Sourced from the lieu-dit La Brunelle, located just below the grand cru slope of Clos de Bèze, this wine combines power and elegance in true Gevrey fashion.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Expressive and pure, with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, rose petals, forest floor, and subtle spice.

Palate: Medium-bodied with a silken texture, revealing layers of red and black fruit, earthy undertones, and hints of tea leaf and clove. The fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity provide poise and lift.

Finish: Persistent and mineral, with a savoury depth and finesse that reflect both the vintage and vineyard site.

Producer Details

Domaine Henri Rebourseau, founded in 1791, is one of the oldest family-run estates in Burgundy. With holdings in some of the region’s most esteemed appellations, including Grand Cru vineyards, the domaine is known for its traditional methods, organic viticulture, and wines that age gracefully.

The La Brunelle site produces wines with the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of a near-Premier Cru location.
