The Wine

The 2018 vintage of Château Musar is a vibrant and beautifully balanced expression of this legendary Lebanese estate. Marked by a cooler, more restrained year in the Bekaa Valley, it combines freshness with Musar’s signature complexity, offering elegance alongside depth. True to the estate’s philosophy, the wine is crafted naturally, with minimal intervention, allowing terroir and vintage character to shine.


Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of red cherry, plum, dried fig, and warm spice with cedar, leather, and a touch of herbs.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied, with layers of ripe red and black fruits, earthy undertones, and subtle notes of tobacco and clove. 

Finish: Long and evolving, with hints of spice, dried fruit, and savoury earth, promising decades of graceful development.

Founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar, Château Musar is Lebanon’s most iconic winery and a true pioneer of fine wine in the Middle East. Still family-owned, the estate is celebrated for its unique blends, natural winemaking philosophy, and remarkable longevity. Each vintage is released after extended aging, ensuring complexity and readiness for the cellar.

Vinification: Fermentation in concrete vats; aged in French oak barrels for 12 months before blending and bottling; released after several years of cellar aging
