The Wine

The 2002 Château Mouton Rothschild highlights the consistency and excellence of one of Bordeaux’s greatest estates. Combining concentration with elegance, it delivers all the hallmarks collectors seek from mature Pauillac — depth, structure, complexity, and longevity.

Showing beautifully today, the wine reveals layers of blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco, and graphite alongside refined tannins and exceptional balance. Mature yet vibrant, it captures the unmistakable character that has made Mouton Rothschild one of the world’s most sought-after wines.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of cassis, blackberry, and black cherry layered with cedar, cigar box, graphite, and subtle spice.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied with refined tannins and impressive structure. Dark fruit flavours are complemented by notes of cocoa, tobacco, leather, and mineral undertones.

Finish: Long, elegant, and persistent, with lingering cedar, spice, and classic Pauillac character.
