The Wine

The 2018 Château Lynch-Bages is a powerful Pauillac from a warm, concentrated vintage that favoured richly structured wines. A superb example of Lynch-Bages’ consistent rise in quality, this vintage offers both immediate impact and long-term cellaring potential.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Intense aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, and blackberry, layered with notes of graphite, cedar, cigar box, dark chocolate, and sweet spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and concentrated, with a dense core of ripe dark fruit framed by muscular yet polished tannins. Flavours of mocha, liquorice, espresso, and toasted oak add depth and complexity.

Finish: Long, powerful, and structured, with dark fruit, mineral, and savoury spice notes.
