The Wine
The 1995 Château Lynch-Bages is a quintessential Pauillac—bold, structured, and deeply satisfying. A strong vintage in Bordeaux, 1995 yielded wines with excellent concentration and classical form. Lynch-Bages, known for its generous style and ability to age gracefully, delivered a wine of impressive richness and balance that has matured into a refined, complex claret.
Now in its third decade, this vintage offers the full range of secondary and tertiary flavours that reward long cellaring.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Mature and expressive, with notes of cassis, leather, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and dried herbs.
Palate: Full-bodied and supple, showing evolved dark fruit, plum, cigar box, and earthy undertones. The tannins are now velvety, with a balanced acidity that brings freshness to the mature profile.
Finish: Long and savoury with lingering notes of spice, blackcurrant, and dried leaves.
