The Wine

The 2019 Château Latour-Martillac is a brilliant example of modern Pessac-Léognan winemaking, offering a compelling combination of structure, freshness, and elegance. A Grand Cru Classé of Graves, the estate continues to rise in reputation, with the 2019 vintage showcasing its impressive balance between classic Bordeaux character and contemporary polish.


Tasting Notes

Nose: Vibrant and expressive, with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and red cherry, interwoven with graphite, and subtle oak. Hints of smoke and pencil shavings add complexity.

Palate: Medium- to full-bodied with a polished mouthfeel. Juicy dark fruits are supported by firm yet fine-grained tannins

Finish: Long and fresh, with notes of  spice, and elegant dark fruit.


Producer Details

Château Latour-Martillac, named after the 12th-century tower that adorns its courtyard, is a historic property in Graves and a classified growth in both red and white. Under the stewardship of the Kressmann family, the estate has consistently produced wines of precision, elegance, and aging potential.


Wine Details

Vinification: Fermented in temperature-controlled vats; aged 16–18 months in French oak (approx. 40% new)

Alcohol Content: ~14% ABV

Cellaring: Drink from 2024 onward, with aging potential through 2040+
