The Wine
Château Kirwan is one of Margaux's historic classified growths, renowned for producing wines that beautifully combine elegance, aromatic complexity, and refined structure. Situated on the plateau of Cantenac, the estate's deep gravel soils consistently yield wines of exceptional balance and longevity.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of cassis, black cherry, and blackberry are intertwined with violet, cedar, cigar box, graphite, and hints of sweet spice.
Palate: Full-bodied and beautifully structured, with layers of ripe black fruits supported by polished tannins. Notes of cocoa, tobacco, liquorice, and crushed stone add depth and complexity while maintaining freshness and elegance.
Finish: Long, refined, and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, floral notes, cedar, and classic Margaux minerality.

Under the ownership of the Schÿler family, the château has combined significant investment with meticulous vineyard management, producing wines that consistently reflect the elegance and sophistication of this renowned appellation.
Wine Details
Vinification: Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats; aged for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels (around 40–50% new)
Alcohol Content: ~13–13.5% ABV
Cellaring: Drinking beautifully now with decanting; will continue to evolve gracefully through 2050+.
