The Wine

The 2009 Château Giscours is a rich and powerful Margaux from one of Bordeaux’s most celebrated modern vintages. Warm, dry conditions throughout the growing season produced wines of exceptional ripeness, concentration, and balance.

Giscours excels in such vintages, delivering a wine that combines Margaux’s signature perfume and elegance with impressive depth and power. The 2009 shows generous fruit, silky tannins, and a refined structure that supports long-term ageing.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum layered with violet, cedar, graphite, and sweet spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and velvety, with a rich core of ripe dark fruit. Fine-grained tannins frame notes of cocoa, tobacco, and subtle mineral complexity.

Finish: Long, smooth, and persistent, with lingering floral lift and integrated oak.
