The Wine

Château Canon occupies one of the finest terroirs in Saint-Émilion, with vineyards perched atop the appellation's renowned limestone plateau. Following substantial investment and meticulous vineyard improvements under the ownership of Chanel, the estate has firmly re-established itself among Bordeaux's elite producers.

The 2011 vintage showcases Canon's hallmark elegance and precision. Refined rather than opulent, it offers a beautifully balanced expression of Saint-Émilion, combining purity of fruit with freshness and mineral complexity. Now entering an excellent stage of maturity, it provides immediate drinking pleasure while retaining the structure for further development.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of black cherry, plum, and raspberry are layered with notes of violet, cedar, graphite, and subtle baking spice.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied with a silky texture and finely integrated tannins. Ripe red and dark berry fruits are complemented by hints of cocoa, crushed stone, and savoury herbs.

Finish: Long, poised, and elegant, with lingering mineral notes and refined fruit character.
