The Wine

Château Bourgneuf is a historic Pomerol estate owned by the Vayron (Votier) family, also associated with Château Trotanoy. Situated on clay and gravel soils typical of the appellation, the vineyard produces wines of depth, richness, and structure.

The 2010 vintage in Bordeaux is considered exceptional, delivering wines with concentration, precision, and remarkable ageing potential. Bourgneuf 2010 is a powerful  Pomerol, combining dense fruit with structure and freshness.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of black cherry, plum, and cassis layered with truffle, cocoa, tobacco, and earthy notes.

Palate: Full-bodied with a rich, velvety texture. Ripe dark fruit is supported by firm, well-integrated tannins, with notes of mocha, spice, and mineral depth.

Finish: Long, opulent, and persistent, with lingering dark fruit and savoury complexity.
