The Wine
Perched on one of the finest gravel ridges overlooking the Gironde Estuary, Château Beau-Site has long been recognised as one of Saint-Estèphe's leading Cru Bourgeois estates. The vineyard's excellent terroir and meticulous winemaking produce wines that combine the appellation's hallmark structure with remarkable elegance and value.
The outstanding 2009 vintage has given Beau-Site exceptional richness, concentration, and balance. Ripe Cabernet Sauvignon forms the backbone of the wine, delivering intense dark fruit alongside the classic cedar, graphite, and spice notes synonymous with Saint-Estèphe. Now drinking beautifully, it offers impressive depth and refinement while retaining the structure for further ageing.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark plum are layered with cedar, graphite, tobacco, violet, and hints of sweet spice.
Palate: Full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a generous core of ripe black fruit supported by firm yet polished tannins. Notes of liquorice, cocoa, cedar, and mineral nuances add complexity and finesse.
Finish: Long, refined, and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, spice, and classic Left Bank freshness.
