The Wine
Château d’Angludet is a respected Cru Bourgeois estate in Margaux, known for producing wines of finesse and classical Médoc structure. The outstanding 2010 Bordeaux vintage delivered wines of depth, concentration, and firm tannic backbone.
The 2010 Angludet shows the power of the vintage combined with Margaux’s hallmark elegance. Structured yet refined, it offers excellent balance between ripe fruit, freshness, and polished tannins, making it a strong value expression of the appellation.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry with notes of cedar, graphite, violets, and subtle spice.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with firm, ripe tannins. Layers of cassis and plum are supported by hints of tobacco, cocoa, and mineral undertones, balanced by fresh acidity.
Finish: Long, structured, and refined, with lingering dark fruit and classic Médoc cedar notes.

Owned by the Sichel family since 1961, Château d’Angludet has steadily built a reputation for consistency and quality. The estate’s gravel soils contribute to the wine’s aromatic lift and structured elegance, typical of Margaux.

Vinification: Fermented in temperature-controlled vats; aged approximately 12–14 months in French oak (portion new)
Alcohol Content: ~13.5–14% ABV
Cellaring: Drinking well now with decanting; will continue to evolve gracefully through 2035+
