The Wine

The 2000 Château Angludet is a beautifully mature Margaux from a landmark Bordeaux vintage. Known for its balance and classical expression, this wine showcases the elegance, floral aromatics, and finesse typical of the Margaux appellation, enhanced by the structure and ripeness that define the harvest.


Tasting Notes

Nose: Complex with aromas of redcurrant, dried rose petals, leather, tobacco, and subtle spice.

Palate: Medium-bodied and silky, revealing notes of raspberry, plum, cedar, and forest floor. Soft, integrated tannins and a touch of graphite lend finesse and earthy charm.

Finish: Elegant and lingering, with a gentle warmth and savory nuance of dried herbs and aged wood.


Producer Details

Château Angludet has long been considered one of the finest Cru Bourgeois estates in Margaux. Owned by the Sichel family since the 1960s, the estate is known for its traditional methods, sustainable viticulture, and wines that punch above their classification. The gravel-rich soils of Margaux yield wines with aromatic lift, subtle power, and graceful aging potential.
