The Wine
The 2016 Château Peyrabon showcases the remarkable quality of the 2016 vintage — a year celebrated for its concentration, and longevity. In magnum format, the wine’s evolution is slower and more graceful, preserving freshness and enhancing its aging potential. This Cru Bourgeois delivers classic Left Bank character with a balance of ripe black fruit, elegant tannins, and refined oak influence.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Deep aromas of cassis, blackberry, and plum complemented by cedar, pencil shavings, and hints of tobacco.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied and beautifully structured, featuring juicy blackcurrant, dark cherry, and cocoa. The tannins are fine yet firm, giving the wine excellent balance and poise.
Finish: Long and savoury, with notes of spice, mocha, and minerality carrying through to a fresh, persistent close.
