The Wine

The 2016 Boekenhoutskloof Cabernet Sauvignon is a striking example of South Africa’s ability to produce world-class Cabernet. Crafted from select parcels in Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, this wine balances New World ripeness with Old World structure and poise. The 2016 vintage showcases exceptional concentration and purity — a hallmark of the Boekenhoutskloof style.


Tasting Notes

Nose: Elegant aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and cassis, layered with cedarwood, graphite, and subtle herbal tones.

Palate: Full-bodied and structured, with a core of dark fruit accompanied by fine, velvety tannins. Hints of tobacco, cocoa, and spice add depth and complexity.

Finish: Long with lingering notes of blackberry and oak spice.
